British Values

At Godley we actively promote the fundamental British Values. Our School Council and ECO Committee are re-elected each year through democratic council elections. Throughout the process the children learn about the voting system and democracy.

The behaviour systems in our school are built upon our core values of respect, courage, aspiration, responsibility and care and support .These systems allow our children to develop their sense of 'rule of law'.

'Individual liberty', 'mutual respect' and 'tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs' are officially taught through the Religious Education (RE) and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) curriculum and are further nurtured through the school's ethos and promotion of spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) understanding.
